Forecasts shaped around the actual adventure, not the nearest town

Alpenteam Weather combines route segments, elevation, exposure, and activity type into a single operational view for guides, rental teams, camps, expeditions, and rescue-aware trip planners.

Route risk scoring

See risk by route segment, altitude band, and time window so teams can shorten, delay, or reroute with confidence.

Extreme alerts

Trigger guide-ready warnings for lightning, whiteout, flash flood, avalanche weather, heat stress, and wind exposure.

Client briefings

Send simple participant updates with expected conditions, kit changes, meeting time changes, and cancellation notes.

Operator dashboard

Monitor every active trip, guide, group, and weather hold from one calm operational screen.

Up and running in three steps

Alpenteam Weather is built for fast setup. Import a route, configure alert thresholds for your activity type, and your team is covered before the next departure.

1

Set up your routes

Upload route geometry or draw directly on the map. Define checkpoints, elevation bands, and activity type per segment. Existing GPX files import in seconds.

2

Receive segmented alerts

Alerts arrive by push notification with a clear decision label — go, watch, reroute, or shelter. Each alert includes source data, the affected segment, and forecast confidence level.

3

Brief your team

Send condition updates to guides and participants in one tap. Share kit adjustments and schedule shifts before the group moves — or cancel with a single message.

Every warning arrives with a decision window

Alerts are translated into field actions so operators know when to brief, stage shelter, turn around, or move the start time.

08:00

Stable start conditions for canyon approach and lower forest trail.

Go
11:30

Thermal buildup detected near exposed ridge, keep group below saddle.

Watch
13:20

Lightning risk exceeds operator threshold along summit traverse.

Reroute
Guide alert sent 12 participants notified: ridge route replaced with valley loop.

Common questions

What data sources power the alerts?

Alerts draw from METAR and SPECI airport weather reports, numerical weather prediction models (ECMWF and GFS), radar-derived lightning probability grids, and avalanche weather indices. All sources are weighted against your specific route geometry and elevation profile.

Which adventure activities are supported?

Alpenteam Weather is built for mountain guiding, canyoning and river adventures, multi-day expeditions, and any high-consequence activity where route-segment weather matters more than a single point forecast. New activity profiles are added based on operator feedback during the beta program.

How quickly do alerts reach guides and participants?

The alert engine refreshes every 5 minutes. Push notifications reach guide devices within seconds of a threshold crossing. Participant briefing messages can be sent in one tap from the operator dashboard.

Is participant data shared with third parties?

No. Participant contact details are used only for trip-specific briefings initiated by your operator account. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling and retention.
